docteur d´État de Paris-Sorbonne

Renoir loved the legendary light here. Cézanne, the shadows. The whole world, its aura.
This is not the Riviera. It is not the Côte d’Azur. This is Provence—deep Provence, the heartland.

Here, you’ll find those picturesque villages straight out of a film. Stone chapels, quiet courtyards, the gentle murmur of fountains, and the early morning market. Across from Marseille—where reputation often leans more toward hell than paradise—stands Fort If, the prison of the Count of Monte Cristo. We, however, will explore the city’s aristocratic side.

The monks will welcome us with dignity in their monastery, where ora et labora—pray and work—is lived with devotion.

Olive groves, the art of oil-making, an authentic Provençal château, exquisite soirées, and the finest cuisine of Provence. Finally, Cézanne’s atelier and his games of light and form—an experience for those with a tranquil mind.

For the Gourmet traveler. For souls more contemplative than conquering. For those whose retirement is closer than their school days.

A place where only the original remains, while copies are made all over the world.
That is Provence.
