Record by dr. Jančok

docteur d´État de Paris-Sorbonne

A touching region with a profound story. Like the verses of Paul Verlain: “That sorrowful cry when autumn moans in the violin, it troubles, the heart feels sick in that moment.” It’s a tale of heroes, of the Allies who died for us. Interwoven with cemeteries and military history.

But remember: before the war, this was already a place of elegance—where Maupassant roamed and the world’s elite came for spas, horses, a stunning environment, and exceptional gastronomy. After the war, France took great care of Normandy. The Norman cows, probably the happiest in the world, could tell you all about it. Their butters and cheeses dominate the world, while oysters from the coast continue to dazzle with their flavor.

Deauville, Trouville, Fécamp, Caen, and Rouen speak of the precision of breeders and producers. The palaces, xs, and liqueurs, or even better, the spiritual life (Lisieux), take us on an inner journey.

For those who love history, lactose, cheeses, apples, and the charm of Scotland with a French twist.
